14-17 August - World Swingmasters event in Blackpool is now Bigger & Better
If you love WCS don't miss this one. This summer swing event will be the largest UK line-up of top US pros this year: Parker Dearborn & Jessica Cox, Michael Kielbasa & Jennifer Deluca, + John Lindo together with our top UK pros: Paul Warden & Catriona Wiles, Lee Easton & Rachael McEnaney.
• 3 full days of dancing, competitions and workshops.
• You can continue dancing till late, late, late. The Swing Hotel is now FULLY BOOKED but it’s not too late to book the event. There are lots of other hotels very close by. 11-14 September – Eclipse in Skegness, Jive Addiction is bringing over one of the top US and UK favourite couples: Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman. The Butlins accommodation and facilities are far superior to the old Southport venue.
25-27 September – NEW The first Midland Swing Open WCS Championships hosted by Paul Harris & Lee Easton. This is the first ever US style convention in a 4 star hotel in the UK. US pros are Jason Barnes & Erica Berg + Samantha Buckwalter + UK pros Paul Warden, Catriona Wiles, Lee Easton and Paul Harris and there will be Newcomer, Novice and Open J n J + Strictly Swing comps. Friday evening is in a privately hired nightclub till 2.00am and the rest of the convention is in the Hilton Hotel, Northampton. (Special rate £35 per person per night - 2 sharing). 24 October – If you can’t afford a whole weekend away, the best WCS Saturday of the year, from around 10.00 am till the early hours of Sunday morning, is always REBEL YELL at H G Wells in Woking with another of our favourite top pro couples, Kyle Redd and Sarah Vann Drake at least 5 workshops with the pros (+ workshops in other dance styles) and a separate swing room upstairs with the option to dance downstairs in the main ballroom. 2 10-13 September Desert City Swing in Phoenix
I’ve had great reports about this event from a couple of people so I’m going over there to check it out. It ticks all the boxes for me: Great pro line-up, 3day/4 evening event, free workshops, a reduced weekend pass (for fulltime students and overseas visitors) fun competitions as well as WSDC ones + Champion Invitational and a fabulous sunny Arizona location, all rooms are 2 room suites with a half mile lazy river around the resort! www.desertcityswing.com I’m also going to attend ‘Meet me in St Louis’ the following weekend before coming home: www.meetmeinstlouissdc.com

Wednesday 19–24 August EUROPEANS WCS INTENSIVE with Paul Warden & Catriona Wiles. The course is aimed at Europeans who don’t get the chance to have regular access to WCS classes/workshops at home and includes the following :
• Wednesday 19 – WCS Wednesdays with Paul and Catriona at Twickenham + London WCS dancers.
• Thursday 20 – 4 hours intensive tuition + evening at the Croydon venue.
• Friday 21 – 4 hours intensive tuition + sightseeing or privates
• Saturday 22 - Sightseeing or privates + evening 4 year anniversary party in Windsor – competitions, cabaret, awards, freestyle (£10 for local dancers)
• Sunday 23 – Afternoon Windsor workshops + Freestyle (£20 for local dancers if pre-booked, otherwise £25) with Paul, Catriona, Rachel and Ed followed by evening meal.
• Cost £250 including accommodation with local dancers.
• Limited number of privates with either Paul or Catriona £40 per hour
